you can count on me.

Way back when the days were long and the breeze was warm I snapped a few shots of my sisters kiddos.  During which time she told Scarlett (her daughter I was taking pictures of) that if she was really lucky maybe she would even see the pictures before next year.  They are coming for a visit today and I awoke unusually early and I set right to work.  They are SO DONE before next year.  In your face Angie.

the first image is stunning as well as the ones of the 2 together..beautiful kids and light – awesome job!

it just isn’t Christmas unless….

I completely stress myself out over making gifts.  I always anticipate that it will just take a couple of evenings, in which I sit bllissfully by the Christmas  tree working away ~ but it never does.  Never never.  Weeks after slaving away the final product is ready.  The final stocking was started and finished on the day deadline and I sat for seven hours knitting knitting knitting.  My body actually hurt, how pathetic.  YES, I am whining and YES, I think I deserve a reward for my diligence.  However, since I do it every year I am sure I must enjoy it.  This year I knitted stockings for my BIL and SIL family.  They turned out much cuter than the ones I have knitted for my own, so now I think I just might knit those all over again.  So complicated.  It really is.  I want to do it, but I am torn between appreciating my first attempts at stockings and the memory or creating blissfully cute ones.  History or cuteness WHAT is more important?  I am not sure.  I am trying to be a deeper and more thoughtful person and appreciate the memory of things, but it hardly working.

The other project I did was making these pocket pixies I saw on PINTEREST for my girls and two of my nieces.  They also took longer than I had calculated, but they are so very darling I want to make a collection for ME.  I just might, too.

Yay!!!! It is Christmas!!!!

May the joys of the holiday season fill your heart and home and the love of Christ ever be present with you and yours!!!
